Our lab attended the 2026 SMaHT Annual Meeting in St. Louis where researchers from across the country gathered to discuss our current work on somatic mutations. Our postdoc Boxun and our two research assistants, Arnaz and Rohini (pictured), had the chance to present their work on enhanced human active transposon sequencing (eHAT-seq), a method Bo developed to accurately detect and quantify somatic L1 retrotransposition in human tissues.
We also had a chance to recharge at the Gateway Arch before flying back to Boston to continue our research!
