Bio

April Boin Choi is a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Boston Children's Hospital. April received a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Education from Harvard University. During her graduate training with Dr. Charles A. Nelson, her research focused on early behavioral and environmental factors that predict language skills in infants at risk for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Her dissertation was supported by Djokovic Science and Innovation Fellowship from Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University. As a postdoctoral fellow in Nelson lab (Boston Children's Hospital) and Rowe lab (Harvard Graduate School of Education), April looks forward to extending her training in typical and atypical social-communicative and language development in the first years of life, with the goal of improving outcomes for children at increased risk for developmental delays through earlier identification and more targeted intervention efforts.
