I am an assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and a faculty member in the Division of Newborn Medicine and Fetal Neonatal Neuroimaging and Developmental Science Center (FNNDSC) at Boston Children’s Hospital. As a bioengineer, I direct the research near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) program at FNNDSC. My lab primarily focuses on developing novel imaging technologies for investigating cerebral physiology and turning the results into broadly available medical devices that help caregivers treat patients and prevent injuries during critical care.
