Giovanna is a fourth-year medical student at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. She holds deep interest for neurosciences and neurodevelopment, having previous experience in clinical research alongside the Neurosurgery department of the Faculty of Medicine of USP. Her interests involve neurosurgery, clinical research, minority health and health disparities and neuroimaging/neurofuncional data.
Giovanna joined Tamilia's lab in January 2025 and is spending a year working on (1) the analysis of stereo-EEG data analysis from patients undergoing epilepsy surgery, (2) the screening and clinical data retrieval for our drug-resistance prediction project in epilepsy, (3) our newborn feeding assessment project, facilitating participant recruitment, data collection and analysis. Giovanna is also helping with reviewing scientific literature and collecting data for our cardiac risk study in epilepsy.
