Silvia earned her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Biomedical Engineering, from “Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma” in 2022. During her studies, she participated in a student exchange in 2021 at “Universitat Internacional de Catalunya” in Barcelona, Spain. She extended her stay until 2022 for an internship, where she worked on research involving a smart portable device for cervical diagnosis and treatment.
She joined Dr. Tamilia’s lab during the Fall/Winter 2024/25 working on her final master thesis, focusing on computational methods to predict drug-resistance in pediatric patients with epilepsy using scalp EEG data records at the onset of their epilepsy.
