Jae Sang Oh, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Jae Sang Oh, M.D., Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and Medical Science at The Catholic University of Korea and serves as the Principal Investigator of Hongik Biolab. He also serves as a an executive board member of the Korean Endovascular Neurosurgical Society & Korean Cerebrovascular Surgical Society. As a hybrid neurosurgeon and physician-scientist since 2018, he has focused on translational research addressing unmet clinical needs in cerebrovascular diseases and dementia. His current research integrates vascular brain organoids, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) exosome-derived bioinformatics to investigate stroke, Moyamoya disease and metabolic dementia, and AI-driven prognostic modeling using nationwide cerebro & cardiovascular clinical cohorts . Prior to joining the lab, he conducted advanced genomic and bioinformatics research, including region-specific brain organoids and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), at Yale School of Medicine's Department of Genetics in 2025-2026.
