Kisong Kim

Kisong Kim is an aspiring physician-scientist with a B.S. in Biological Science from KAIST and an M.D. from Yonsei University with the Seoksan Physician Scientist Scholarship. In the lab, she conducts single-cell RNA sequencing analysis for ALS-FTD patients and estimates D4Z4 repeat units based on WGS data of FSHD patients. Her research interests include molecular pathology and genomics, single-cell multi-omics, personalized medicine, translational medicine, and AI applications in pathology. Kisong’s passion for pathology was ignited by the realization that accurate pathological diagnosis is essential for understanding disease mechanisms and developing effective treatments. Outside the lab, she enjoys cooking and dancing to relieve stress. A self-proclaimed foodie, she has a keen interest in healthy eating and loves developing delicious, nutritious recipes.
