Enrique graduated from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Mexico with a B.S. in Mechatronics Engineering. At the FNNDSC, he works with Dr. Sarah Morton on computational biology to better understand genetic and environmental contributions to complex traits in various diseases, including congenital heart disease. As an undergraduate, he worked with Dr. Kiho Im on deep learning network training to improve fetal brain MRI segmentation and parcellation. His interests lie in the intersection of computer science, mathematics, physics, and biology. He is passionate about applying science to medicine to improve people's health.
