Ran Jing, Ph.D.

Dr. Ran Jing holds an M.S. in Molecular Biology from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina under the mentorship of Dr. Stephen A. Duncan. During his Ph.D., Dr. Jing focused on using iPSC-derived hepatocytes to model metabolic liver diseases and understand the molecular mechanisms governing liver development. Following his Ph.D., he pursued postdoctoral training in Dr. George Daley's lab at Harvard Medical School, where he later transitioned to a faculty position. Dr. Jing's current research focuses on harnessing the potential of human pluripotent stem cells to generate lymphoid cells to advance next-generation off-the-shelf CAR T/NK cell therapy. Dr. Ran Jing’s research has been recognized with multiple honors and prizes and he is a recipient of NIH K99 Pathway to Independence Award.
